NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
A535 HOLMES CHAPEL ROAD, CHELFORD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cheshire East Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, issues this notice temporarily to prohibit traffic in the following length of road:-
A535 Holmes Chapel Road, Chelford from Chelford Roundabout to Withington Park.
It is anticipated that the works will be carried out on Wednesday 14th May 2014, between 09:30 — 15:30 hours.
The closure is necessary to enable Cheshire East Highways to carry out Carriageway surface dressing works.
The alternative diversion route will be via; A537 Knutsford Road/Chelford Road, A50 Toft Road/Holmes Chapel Road/London Road/Knutsford Road, A535 Macclesfield Road/Chelford Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.
This notice will become operative on Wednesday 14th May 2014 for a period of 5 days or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed.
