Before The Rally Moved To Astle Park
Pam Barber has sent us this interesting link to a YouTube video which shows the Steam Engine Rally in the days before it moved to Astle Park. At the time it was held in Lower Withington.
Here's a few comments from one of Pam's friends.
"If a rally could be like this again. I like the miniature railway loco driver smoking on the "footplate" and obviously not a fence or fluorescent jacket; also proper veteran cars (the Moggy minors and similar being the latest thing then!) and no litter.
I haven't seen the Leyland engined Minneapolis Moline around for a few years?
