The Brownies Celebrate the Centenary
Chelford Brownies were among more than 800 Brownies from across Cheshire who converged on Macclesfield Leisure Centre on January 18th to celebrate the 'Big Brownie Birthday'.
'Blast Off' was a circus-themed event to herald the start of Brownie Centenary Year. More than 60 different Brownie units from 'Cheshire Border' Guiding County attended a fantastic afternoon of professional entertainment, which ranged from luminous juggling to acrobats and trapeze artists. There was a giant birthday cake and the chance to shop for pocket money toys
