Chelford Brownies' 'Snow White' Pack Holiday
Sun shines on holidaying Brownies
Chelford Brownies were blessed with their best-ever Pack Holiday weather during their annual weekend away to Ashley Activity Centre near Mobberley, from May 16th to 18th.
Sunshine and very warm temperatures lasted all weekend, which made for lots of outdoor hunts, crafts and games.
Brown Owl Alison Richardson said: "It's the first time in more than 20 years of taking Chelford Brownies on Pack Holiday that I've ever had to worry about them getting sunburn or sunstroke!"
This year's Pack Holiday theme was 'Snow White', and activities included making a 'magic' mirror and a 'diamond' bracelet, plus baking 'poisoned' apple muffins, in true Wicked Queen style!
Fifteen youngsters were residential for the weekend, and a further three younger Brownies came for the day on the Saturday, for their first taste of the Pack Holiday experience.
"Many of our residential girls were away from home for the first day, so they all did really well living together as a Brownie family for the weekend, even coping cheerfully enough with the washing-up!" said Alison.
