These activities form part of CTARA's successful funding from "You Decide" Cheshire East Council and are part of their "Happy & Healthy in Chelford" project.
The project includes many activities, all intended to reduce social isolation and loneliness, but also improve health and well being. Other activities include "Musical Moments", Otago Exercise Sessions which improve balance and confidence (especially useful for those who have fallen or are at risk of falls), Freebie Thursday Coffee Mornings and a range of other social events such as lunches, afternoon teas and even a BBQ!
CTARA works closely with the Chelford Surgery whose team "signpost" patients who may benefit from the activities on offer. Should you know anyone who may benefit, or if you perhaps would like to join in please contact the Association (details below) CTARA is also looking for volunteers to help deliver their aims, to help at events, befriend people and act as buddies or to become Dementia Friends or Community Ambassadors.
