Down But Not Out
You may have noticed that we were 'off air' from about 2.45 pm on 4th July. We apologise for the loss of service. We have had this message from our provider which explains what happened and what is being done to prevent its reoccurrence.
This is a followup to our earlier email regarding a routing problem which occurred around 2:45pm today. This problem prevented some customers from accessing their CentrePointCMS control panel, Cloud or Chrestos System.
At 3:00pm the source of the problem was discovered at our data-centre in Manchester. The issue was preventing certain ISPs accessing servers at the centre including several owned and operated by ThenMedia. By 5:00pm 90% of our services had been restored, and as of 7:00pm we are confident that all services are back to normal.
We are now working with our partners in Manchester to work out what exactly went wrong, and to see if there is anything we can do to prevent a similar problem occurring in the future.
