Lower WIthington WI Report
Quite a full house for this meeting with some visitors.
Our show of work with sales tables on Saturday 24th. September was a great success with profits going towards the Parish Room refurbishment.
The speaker for the evening was Gay Rhodes with her talk 'That Certain Age'. She was very funny and had us in stitches with her observations of the trials of ladies of advancing years, from troublesome husbands to the latest must have foundation garments and their dangers. We could all empathise with her stories and thoroughly enjoyed her talk.
The competition of a Childhood Photo was won by Gwen Hayhurst and second was Christine Sullivan. Karen Hilton won the raffle.
Next month will be Maureen Crawford with her talk on Kimonos and can guarantee that this will be excellent. The competition will be 'Something From Japan'.
Visitors are welcome, meetings start at 7.30.
