The meeting on 26th April was all about the Magic of Swans and the speaker was David Cummings whose talk was of interest to all our members. Intriguingly he said: "Swans usually mate for life, though "divorce" does sometimes occur". David informed us all about these beautiful birds," and it was a very informative and enjoyable evening with many pictures to enjoy.

The meeting on 24th May began as usual with a rousing rendition of Jerusalem.
Our president Anne then welcomed 2 more new members and thanked Dorothy for the flowers. Thanks were given to Bill and Barbara for the recent very successful Cream Tea fundraiser. Thanks were also given to Gill for arranging the recent bread making event, which was very successful and a lot of fun.

This month was our resolutions evening and whilst discussions were going on Cheese and Wine were enjoyed and then we had a quiz about the Royal Family organised by Janet.

Our next meetings are on 28th June, which is our Garden Evening, where our speaker will be Julie Hinchcliffe with 'Wordy Birdies and 26th July where our speaker is Rebecca Done entitled 'My Life in Entertainment' at 7.30pm at Lower Withington Village Hall. Please do come along and join us, everyone is welcome.
