CHELFORD COMMERCIALS TO £1460.
Commercial show potential cattle trade was "off the clock" at Chelford on Monday with 5 month old Calves to £1460 for Geoffrey Brown, South Molton, Devon. Another new seller, Jim Butler, travelled from Oswestry selling Heifers to £1120 and Chelford regular Brian Griffiths, Newtown, sold to £1030.
Trade continued in the regular store section, David Worthington with an outstanding pen of powerful Cattle taking the top 8 prices in the Steers and a top of £1405. Younger Steers from John and Celia Egerton selling to £1020. In the Heifers top call of £1315 went to Ian Forrester, Hanchurch with a Blue, top of the youngsters a 13mo model from the Kirk family at £925. A particularly nice pen of Bulls from Halton Farms Ltd, Congleton sold to £825 for Blues at 11mo.
