Peover Superior School Centenary
Peover School Centenary Appeal
This September, Peover Superior Primary School will celebrate its 100th birthday. During this month, pupils at the school will be learning what it was like to be a child at Peover during bygone times and they will be talking to some of the former pupils who are aged from 19 to 90 years old!
To help celebrate this landmark, Peover Superior School would like to appeal to former pupils to come forward and share any memories, funny stories and memorabilia that they may have to share with the classes of 2014.
To do this, the school will be hosting a special 'Centenary Celebration BBQ' on 19th September from 4pm to 8pm. All former pupils are welcome to come and celebrate. The children will be going back in time and dressing up in Edwardian clothes as well as being taught Edwardian lessons with pen, ink and slate! You can hear a brass band play, view some of the impressive school artefacts and witness the burying of a time capsule, so please drop by for refreshments and a chat. All former pupils are welcome and we would particularly like to hear from the older generation, who may have lost touch with this community-based school.
To stay in touch with the centenary plans and share any photographs you may have, please like our facebook page at www.facebook.com/peoverschoolcentenary, follow the school on twitter @peoversuperior or if you are a former pupil who would like to get in touch or would like to attend our event, please call Kate Wadsworth on 07875 711756.
