Plans for Alderley Park
There is a very interesting article about the redevelopment plans for Alderley Park. It's on the Alderley Edge website here
The planning application number 15/5401M and can be found on the Cheshire East Website here
What is really interesting is that the plan contains provisions for far more facilities than you will find in Chelford or most of the surrounding villages.
It's good news that the plans include up to 275 new homes (up to 60 of which may be retirement homes) together with a new village hub which will offer a shop, cafe, restaurant, pub, creche and a hotel with up to 100 bedrooms.
Sport and recreation facilities also form part of the proposals and include an indoor sports centre of up to a 2,000 sqm, which will be open to the public for the first time. The local community will be able to use the existing footpaths, woodland and heritage parkland.
