THE CHELFORD, MARTHALL AND OVER PEOVER POPPY APPEAL

AREA ORGANISER AND GENERAL HELP

My sons, Tom and Jamie and I have organised the Poppy Appeal for this area for the last 4 years but the boys are now both at university and my husband and I are moving to East Anglia.

The British Legion Poppy Appeal therefore needs someone to take over this area. It is not an onerous task. It simply needs a little organising and a little time — mainly just before and after the fortnight of Remembrance-tide (the 2 weeks leading up to Remembrance Sunday).

We are very grateful to Doug and Sue Couling for their past assistance with this task and their offer to continue. The Poppy Appeal Organiser (PAO) can always use more help in general with various aspects e.g. distributing, collecting and counting. None of it is difficult but many hands make light work!

If you feel that you could take on the task of PAO or share it perhaps, please get in touch. Equally, if you feel you could just help by giving a few hours of your time around the 21st to 23rd October or the 10 — 12th November, please contact me, Viv Cunningham on 01625 861934 or 07800 532881. Thank you.
