A Re-start for Chelford Guides
Here's some really great news.
After a three-year gap, it's hoped to re-start Chelford Guides as a potential leader is hoping to start her training soon.
That means a start-up patrol of would-be Guides is needed to re-establish the unit at Chelford Scout Hall, and whilst there are a few older Brownies who hope to join, more girls are needed to make the unit viable.

"It would be fantastic to be able to re-start Guides in Chelford," said Alison. "We've got a flourishing Brownie pack but because there has been no Guiding unit for the girls to move on to, many of our older girls have left Guiding once they've become too old for Brownies.
Prior to closure, due to lack of leaders, Chelford Guides was one of the oldest units in the country and had been running since the early 1930s.
"Today's Guide units offer a great girl-only environment for young teenagers to find their feet in a fast-moving world, develop their confidence and try all sorts of new opportunities which look great on their CV as they get older," said Alison.
