Ruralwatch Night of Action

Home » Newsroom » Ruralwatch Night of Action

Cheshire Constabulary are implementing a "Night of Action" in relation to the preventing and detecting of Rural Crime Offences.

This "Night of Action" will occur across Macclesfield, Knutsford, Wilmslow and Congleton.

The Rural Crime "Night of Action" will involve the Police inviting members of the Rural Community such as Farmers, Gamekeepers, National Trust Park wardens and ruralwatch members to attend a Police briefing at Wilmslow Police Station.

The public briefing for the rural community will take place at 8pm prompt on WEDNESDAY 9th MARCH 2016 at WILMSLOW POLICE STATION, HAWTHORN STREET, WILMSLOW SK9 5HQ.

Volunteers who wish to do so will then go on patrol in their own rural area and report any suspicious incidents in the first instance to Police.

This initiative has been used by other Police Forces in the UK and has been described as an effective way of preventing and detecting Rural Crime Offences.

Alternatively, if you are a Ruralwatch member and are unable to attend please report any suspicious activity to Cheshire Constabulary on 101.
