Self Care Week
Chelford Surgery and how to "Look after your Health this winter"
Before winter arrives the NHS is running a Self Care week to encourage everyone to get organised to self-treat minor ailments and make sure that they have a well stocked medicine cabinet
Chelford Surgery will play its part. Why not visit the Surgery to look at the displays, including sample Medicine Cabinets as well as information leaflets about how to organise and stock up for the inevitable minor ailments that need Self Care? Leaflets will also be provided with prescriptions collected during that week which will include helpful advice: — "Be prepared to make over your medicine cabinet" and "Is your medicine cabinet fit for the winter?"
The Self Care week is from 14 to 20 November and more details about Self Care can be found on the websites
There is also a special app for children under 5 — www.catchapp.co.uk from Apple App Store or Google play
Please do your bit to help the NHS over the difficult winter months as a major benefit of Self Care for minor ailments will be to relieve the pressure on Accident & Emergency departments and GP surgeries, allowing them to deal with serious illnesses
