Spring Clean for the Queen

With the onset of this weekend's heatwave, a couple of spring cleaners decided to give Chelford's main road and village a bit of tlc. So with the sun beating down, the stalwarts swept along the roads (not literally) and collected 5 large bags of litter. The detritus provided a brief historical perspective of weary travellers who forged their way across the Cheshire countryside as they traded their wares. Costa, McDonalds, Red Bull, Heinekin, Cadbury's to name but a few, seem to have provided sustenance and energy for those on horseback, whilst the old bus shelter seems to have doubled up as a feeding stop for those trapped by the winter blizzards, judging by the number of sandwiches deposited within. Well done ladies on charting the course of history with some expert picking.
