Suspicious Person Alert

This Alert is being sent regarding two incidents of suspicious behavior that occurred in High Legh, but could be in the wider rural as a whole.
Two electric meters have been found unlocked but also undamaged, this happened on a Saturday around a week ago (12th September 2015). Meter readings are only taken during weekdays as the occupant was informed so whoever has opened the meter reading box could possibly not be from the electric company.
The incidents occurred within streets of each other. This type of suspicious activity could be part of door to door fraud/street hawkers with a view to opportunity burglary's so we are advising that at this time all residents who have meters that are read actively to be aware of this and to report anything that they believe to be suspicious with vehicle registrations and person descriptions if able.
