Tour Roars Down Kenny Trott Road
The Tour of Britain came to Chelford this afternoon as the riders sped down Kenny Trott Road. Lots of people turned out for the event and the station platforms were well used as spectators took the train home.
Britain's Ian Stannard won stage three of the Tour of Britain with a brilliant breakaway ride. He came powering through Chelford way ahead of Graham Briggs of JLT-Condor and ONE Pro Cycling's Kristian House. As he did so, the question on Kenny Trott Road was could he hang on? Yes he could, winning by around 2 minutes.
The main peloton, which included Mark Cavendish, finished more than six minutes behind.
Here are a load of pictures (the leaders were captured by Dr Roycroft, so many thanks for that). See if you can spot your favourite riders. As always, click on the pictures to enlarge them.
