The Chelford Patient Representative Group (PRG) is a group of volunteers who work with the Chelford Surgery to represent the interests of patients. The Group brings together patients, GPs and staff members from our Surgery to meet during the year, to discuss issues relating to the practice and the services provided to patients.
Following on from the success of the recent event focusing on caring for yourself and raising awareness of dementia, the PRG is offering an event on breast cancer awareness. The event which is also being supported by Chelford School PTA, includes a guest speaker from Prevent Breast Cancer and an opportunity to shop with Xpose. The event will be held at Chelford Primary School. Further details can be found in the poster accompanying this article. To obtain a ticket (£10), please contact Joanna Fielding at: joanna.fielding@gmail.com
Breast cancer awareness month begins on the 1st of October and is an annual campaign aimed at educating people about breast cancer which is the most common cause of cancer in women.
