Chelford footpath 2 (footpath off Alderley Road, Chelford leading across the wildlife reserve between Alderley Road and Stubby Lane, Chelford / Nether Alderley) has been closed for safety reasons as the flooding is extensive and is reportedly resulting in the sides of the footpaths and lake shores being in danger of collapse.
Cheshire East Council have issued a temporary restriction of pedestrians notice, effective from 10th January for 21 days. The restriction covers the entire length of the footpath from Alderley Road to Stubby Lane.
