The latest data at local authority level for Cheshire East show that the daily rate of people testing positive for Covid-19 is now 48.
In the last seven days, 263 people have tested positive, and increase of 196 (292.5%)
Meanwhile in Cheshire West and Cheshire, ALL residents in two Cheshire towns are being advised to book a coronavirus test following an increased number of cases in the towns in the past week.
Cheshire West and Chester Council says the cases in Northwich and Winsford are likely to be the Delta (Indian) variant which is more transmissible. To reduce the spread, residents should book a PCR test even if they do not have symptoms.
