Lancashire activity day for Guides and Brownies
Chelford Brownies and Guides were among more than 330 girls from the local Guiding division who took part in a fun activity day at Waddow Hall near Clitheroe.
Waddow is a Guiding activity centre set in beautiful grounds on the River Ribble.
The Capesthorne Division Activity Day was held to celebrate Guiding together after the pandemic, and included units and Guiders from Wilmslow, Handforth, Chelford, Goostrey, Mobberley, Knutsford, Prestbury, Alderley Edge and Mottram St Andrew.
Chelford Brownies took part in bushcraft sessions, rock climbing, archery and team building. Chelford Guides enjoyed raft building, rope ladder climbing, and other challenges.
Both Chelford Brownies and Guides have a few available places for new girls from the autumn term onwards.
Both units meet at Chelford Scout Hall on Tuesdays during term time – Brownies from 5pm to 6.30pm and Guides from 7pm to 8.30pm. For enquiries about Brownies (girls aged 7-10; new recruits from 6.5), contact Brown Owl Alison Richardson at mailto:ChelfordBrownies@outlook.com(st) .
