Position: Site Maintenance Officer

Salary: Annual salary £14,360 – £14,940 (Grade 3 SCP 2 – 4)

Contract: Permanent (subject to successful 6 month probation period)

Hours: 30 hours per week (4 split shifts: 8am – 10am / 3pm – 6pm; 1 full day: 8am – 6pm)

Contract: 52 week contract

Holiday entitlement: 25 days (to be taken in holiday time) plus 8 bank holidays

DBS check: Enhanced

Closing date: 3rd July 2020

Starting date: 17th August 2020

Chelford CE Primary School is a successful, rural school serving the thriving village of Chelford, set within the heart of the Cheshire countryside between Knutsford and Macclesfield. Due to the impending retirement of our esteemed caretaker, the School is looking to appoint a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and hardworking caretaker who will supplement our dedicated team.

Our Christian ethos is encapsulated in our 'Learning to love; Loving to learn' strapline and we are looking to recruit a caretaker who is willing to bring enthusiasm and contribute to the success of our organisation. Our new site maintenance officer can be guaranteed of a warm welcome and an opportunity to make a contribution to our School family.

The successful candidate will begin the role in August to allow for time to shadow the current caretaker and to become familiar with the demands of the role and to learn how to maintain and manage systems.

Training will be provided as part of ongoing professional development and the successful candidate will play a key role in helping to deliver the School's vision for the future; this post offers the opportunity to make a significant difference to our community.
