Chelford uniformed groups of Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and their leaders joined a thoughtful Chelford Church congregation on Sunday November 10th for the annual remembrance Sunday service, which was also attended by Marthall churchgoers.
The sun shone for the Act of Remembrance outside, when wreaths were laid at the war memorial and the names of those from Chelford and Marthall with Ollerton, who were killed in the First and Second World Wars, were read out in memory.
Church gates and the interior were beautifully decorated with hand-knitted poppies, including new ones made by pupils at Chelford School
Curate Fiona Robinson said: "It was wonderful to see everyone and have the involvement of the young people which I believe is incredibly important for the future of our community and our world."
